We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our award-winning Employers Liability team in Newcastle!
Responsibilities
- Preparation and drafting of court documents/correspondence
- Diary management
- Brief preparation
- Monthly billing
- Opening and closing files
- Assisting lawyers and other legal staff as necessary
- General secretarial and administrative tasks
Requirements
- 1+ years recent experience as a legal assistant, secretary, or admin assistant
- Billing experience desirable
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Meticulous eye for detail and accurate proofreading skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritise effectively within tight time frames
- Enthusiastic, committed and proactive approach to work
- Commitment to a career in legal support
