About the Role: The Treasury Officer is responsible for supporting the Bank’s day‑to‑day treasury activities including cash and liquidity management, money market and foreign exchange settlements, nostro account monitoring, payment processing, confirmations, reconciliations, regulatory reporting support, and maintaining efficient treasury controls. The role requires a highly disciplined individual with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to process transactions with speed and accuracy, and a hardworking mindset to ensure all treasury obligations are completed within strict market deadlines and operational cut‑off times. The Treasury Officer plays a critical role in safeguarding the Bank against operational risk, settlement risk, liquidity gaps, and financial discrepancies through diligent monitoring and timely execution of treasury transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Process and monitor treasury transactions including Money Market, FX, deposits, funding, placements, and interbank payments.
- Ensure all treasury deals are captured accurately in the treasury management system.
- Monitor the Bank’s daily cash position across nostro and settlement accounts.
- Process treasury‑related inward and outward payments accurately within market deadlines.
- Perform daily reconciliations of treasury suspense, nostro accounts, settlement accounts, and internal balances.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, failed payments, unmatched confirmations, and outstanding entries promptly.
- Ensure all treasury transactions comply with internal procedures, delegated authorities, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare daily treasury position reports, funding reports, maturity schedules, and transaction summaries.
- Provide support to Treasury Manager in daily dealing room operations and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Banking, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline.
- Desired experience in Treasury, Treasury Operations, Treasury Back Office, Payments, Settlements, or Banking Operations.
- Sound understanding of treasury products, payment systems, SWIFT messages, nostro accounts, and reconciliations.
