In this project, you will be working on projects to help fine-tune large language models (like ChatGPT) using your strong medical knowledge and diagnostic abilities in various fields of medicine. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of medical concepts, particularly at the level required for medical school or professional practice. You will break down complex medical cases into clear, patient‑centric explanations and ensure AI outputs meet rigorous standards of accuracy, safety, and empathy.
What does day‑to‑day look like:
As a medical specialist, you will bring your subject‑matter knowledge to help train and evaluate frontier AI systems. Work might include:
- Design and solve advanced medical problems, ranging from diagnostic scenarios to complex clinical case reviews
- Review AI‑generated answers, assessing their accuracy, depth of reasoning, and clarity
- Spot knowledge gaps and edge cases, and propose improvements to strengthen model performance
- Collaborate with AI researchers and fellow medical experts to shape training methods, evaluation strategies, and benchmarks
- Provide structured feedback and insights that guide the development of next‑generation AI for medicine and science
Candidate Requirements:
- Physicians need to have completed medical school and have actively practiced within the last 3+ years. Strong preference for staff physicians, fellows and senior residents.
- Specialization preferences: Internal medicine, Emergency medicine and/or Family medicine
- Relevant professional qualification and license in their specialty or subspecialty (e.g., Board Certification for the US, or CCT – Certificate of Completion of Training – for the UK).
- Strong knowledge of core medical subjects like anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and clinical medicine.
- Skilled at explaining medical concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, and simulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of medical‑related software and tools is a plus (e.g., DICOM viewers, medical simulation software, electronic health records).
