Turing Fest is building the platform that connects Europe's founders and go-to-market leaders with the capital, knowledge, and networks they need to scale. We run a flagship annual summit, a curated dinner series across European cities, and a go-to-market conference for revenue leaders. We're a small, ambitious team with pan-European reach.
About The Role
This is a hands‑on execution and coordination role with real ownership from day one. You'll report directly to the CEO, align on outcomes weekly, and then execute. Your job is to make sure events are delivered properly and the company operates in a structured, orderly way day‑to‑day. You’ll work within an existing structure, but you’ll be expected to bring organization, clarity, and follow‑through. Your role is to make things run reliably and improve how we operate over time. You will spend most of your time executing and coordinating. You’ll have clear ownership of delivery within agreed budgets and constraints, and you’ll be expected to make decisions without the need for constant escalation.
What You'll Own
- Event Delivery
- Coordinate delivery across all events, including conferences and dinners
- Maintain the master timeline: what’s happening, when, and what’s at risk
- Track budgets and flag overspend early
- Ensure all suppliers, venues, and partners are contracted on time
- Work closely with our freelance Event Producer, who leads the production
- Internal Operations & Team Rhythm
- Run weekly team meetings and ensure follow‑ups happen
- Maintain a clear view of priorities across the team
- Track progress and hold people accountable to deadlines
- Own the overall workplan: what’s due, what’s at risk, what needs to move
- Reduce friction — identify and eliminate roadblocks so the team can execute
- Partner & Sponsor Delivery
- Track all partner and sponsor commitments
- Coordinate internally to ensure we deliver what’s promised across the organisation
- Ensure nothing slips or requires last‑minute fixes
- Business Operations
- Manage contracts with partners, suppliers, and venues — negotiated, signed, stored
- Track budgets and liaise with our bookkeeper
- Maintain people operations: contracts, onboarding, employee records
What Success Looks Like
- Events are delivered on time and within budget
- Issues are identified and addressed early, and there are no missed dependencies
- Suppliers and partners are organised well in advance
- The team is clear on priorities and follows through
- You surface risks early, not late, and plan accordingly
Who You Are
- 2–4 years of experience in events, operations, or a delivery‑heavy role
- Highly organized and detail‑focused; you build structure rather than wait for it
- Very comfortable with a variety of office software, and excited to learn even more (including Google Suite, Hubspot, Xero, and more)
- You take ownership — you don’t wait to be told
- You’ve taken responsibility for making things work, even when it wasn’t formally your role
- Calm under pressure; you don’t drop balls when things get busy
- Clear communicator — people know what’s happening when you’re involved
- Happy to work from home, and are located in Edinburgh for easy access to venues and vendors
Why This Role
This role gives you real ownership of delivery in a growing event business. If you’re good at execution, you’ll quickly become central to how the company operates.
Compensation
