Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Company Secretary to join our Business Law team. The successful candidate is expected to have previous experience in a similar role. The candidate would be the sole provider of company secretarial services for a large number of entities.
Our Business Law team provides a broad range of commercial, transactional and banking/funding services. The team provides advice to family and private businesses and individuals on a wide range of business law matters including corporate governance, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts and business sales and purchase to name but a few. The role will principally be based in our Edinburgh office.
Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will deal with Companies House administration including submission of Confirmation Statements and dormant accounts and will ensure statutory books/registers are maintained. You will be required to draft board minutes and complete other basic company administration including share allotments/transfers and dividends. This role will also deal with Incorporation of companies, registered office mail and manage Inform Direct.
The successful candidate will be expected to have had a high level of experience in a similar role and should be an excellent communicator. A high degree of accuracy and organisational skills are essential. The role requires you to have the ability to provide an enhanced level of service to our clients both internal and external. You are expected to be a strong team player who also has the ability to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision.
