Bring Your Expertise
- Proven ability and experienced in basic set-up as CNC Mill Setter operator and/or Lathe operator (current or within last 3 yrs) in engineering manufacturing.
- Experience with technical drawings, using calibrated instruments to check dimensions.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, follow instructions carefully while working unsupervised.
- Good at maintaining relevant handover notes, data and setting sheets accurately and timely.
- 3 GCSE (or Equivalent) A-D including Math & English.
- Preferred intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel and ERP software (Epicor helpful).
Your role:
· Working early shift, 06h00 to 14h30 Mon-Fri with 30 min meal break
· Set-up and operation of 5-Axis CNC Milling machines, competently.
· As needed, perform preventative maintenance on assigned CNC Mill(s), including all swarf and waste removal from the machine.
· Carry out daily maintenance on machines such as verify oil / coolant levels along with filtration systems.
· Constant alert to any changes in machine performance and operation, promptly report any issues to your supervisor.
· Support and maintain the company Quality systems in accordance with the Quality Management System, work instructions and control plans.
· Supporting and maintain overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe and in line with 5S standards.
· Report all hazards or incidents to supervisor. Cooperate and coordinate with other machinists for usage of shared shop equipment.
· Performing other duties as necessary.
· This is a varied role with a mix of production and prototype components with the opportunity to develop a breadth of skills including learning to support Automated cells.
