Founded in 1981 at the start of the turbocharged vehicle era, the company has grown from a passion for engineering into a globally recognised specialist supplying both the OEM and performance aftermarket. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an Assembly Technician to join our established production team at our Northampton facility.
The Role
This is a hands-on mechanical assembly role involving the precision build and remanufacture of turbochargers, alongside the strip, inspection, and assembly of damper and suspension components. The position suits someone technically minded, methodical, and comfortable working to high quality standards in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and preparation of turbocharger components
- Full remanufacture and assembly of turbochargers to a consistent, high standard
- Assembly of hybrid and performance OEM-upgrade turbochargers
- Damper and suspension component strip-down, inspection, and assembly
- VSR vibration testing, VNT flow testing, and actuator calibration (training provided)
- Accurate use of department computer systems to record build and calibration data
- Working to detailed procedures, drawings, and quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Candidate Requirements
- GCSE level education (or equivalent), including Maths and English (Grade C / Level 4 or above)
- High level of manual dexterity with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances
- Basic computer literacy for recording build and test data
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in a mechanical, engineering, automotive, or manufacturing environment
- Previous assembly, remanufacturing, or precision build experience
Full training will be provided by experienced technicians.
