Group People Data Analyst
We are recruiting for a Group People Data Analyst to join our People team in Whitley, Yorkshire.
The role offers flexible working patterns and is a maternity cover position on a fixed-term contract until the end of December 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the People analytics dashboard providing accurate, meaningful data and insights.
- Work closely with People Directors to define and develop People data analytics.
- Provide insightful People analytics to the People leadership team and senior management monthly, and as required.
- Complete statutory reporting requirements in line with local regulations.
- Continuously develop and improve analytics reporting and delivery.
- Identify data quality issues, take remedial actions, and maintain high data quality.
- Provide ad hoc reports and analysis as required.
- Support the People Leadership team with project delivery.
- Build and troubleshoot integration of people data into other systems.
- Partner with Finance to calculate annual bonus payments, support bonus communication and maintain bonus data year-round.
- Assist People Directors in managing the annual headcount process and reporting, working with Finance on monthly reviews.
- Provide Total Labour Cost and Total Labour Resource reporting and budget management.
- Support key people processes (annual performance cycle, calibration, talent management, succession planning) with data analysis and reporting.
- Required Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience in data analysis, ideally with People/HR data.
- Very strong skills with Microsoft Excel (lookups, IFs, SUMs, pivot tables, etc).
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Understanding of GDPR and best practice in handling and processing sensitive people data.
- Proven ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset, problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and planning effectiveness.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI).
- Experience with Microsoft Co Pilot, Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Excel macro creation experience.
- Understanding of HRIS systems.
- Experience within a multi‑national organisation.
