About the Role
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week position on a rotating 24/7 roster. The role is based in Tauranga with hybrid work options after training.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls triggered by clients’ medical and duress alarms
- Dispatch emergency services when required
- Provide reassurance and remain calm under pressure
- Follow clear protocols and complete accurate administrative processes
- Troubleshoot and support accidental and test alarm calls
Qualifications
- Natural people person with empathy and a calm phone manner
- Strong resilience and ability to stay composed in emergencies
- High attention to detail
- Reliable, team‑focused, and seeking a stable, long‑term role
- Proven customer service experience
- Good computer skills and fast, accurate typing
- First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility
The service operates 24/7, so you must be flexible for a rotating roster that includes:
- Afternoon, night and weekend shifts (penalty rates apply)
- Roster provided one month in advance
- Hybrid work available for some shifts after successful training
