Reporting to the VP Global Marketing, this role will be responsible for building the engine that powers this transformation.
Acting as a strategic partner to the Leadership Team, you will establish the planning and operating model that enables Brand and Growth to operate as one high-performing global organisation that finds, retains and empowers independent artists at scale. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly driven, entrepreneurial leader who enjoys building from the ground up.
You will design and embed the frameworks, rhythms and governance that bring clarity, alignment and accountability to how Marketing works – transforming ambition into measurable execution at scale. From annual planning and integrated campaign operations to launch excellence and budget management, you will create the systems that enable the team to move faster, make better decisions and deliver greater commercial impact.
Working closely with Product, Finance, Data, Customer Experience, regional teams and colleagues across Believe, TuneCore’s parent company, you will operationalise the creation, communication and delivery of key strategic initiatives, ensuring they are scalable, measurable and aligned to business priorities. You will champion an insight-led approach to planning, helping the organisation develop a deeper understanding of artist needs, marketing effectiveness and opportunities for growth.
You are equally comfortable shaping strategy and rolling up your sleeves to make it happen. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, are naturally curious and data-driven, and bring the confidence to challenge thinking, influence senior stakeholders and continuously improve the way teams work together. Above all, you believe that operational excellence is not about process for process’ sake – it exists to unlock creativity, accelerate innovation and ultimately help more independent artists succeed at scale.
The tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with Leadership to define strategic priorities, resource allocation and investment decisions.
- Develop and own the annual planning process, translating company objectives into integrated marketing priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Establish quarterly and bi-annual planning rhythms that align Growth, Brand, Product and the business teams around shared objectives.
- Build and maintain the organisation’s roadmap, ensuring visibility across initiatives, launches and campaigns.
- Design and implement scalable operating models, governance and ways of working.
- Introduce best practice planning processes, briefing frameworks, approval workflows and project management disciplines.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities and decision-making frameworks across the organisation.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous process improvement and simplification.
- Lead cross-functional planning, ensuring Product, Growth, Brand, Creative, Regional and Finance teams are aligned from strategy through execution.
- Create consistent launch frameworks, timelines, playbooks and retrospectives to improve delivery over time.
- Build the measurement framework, defining success metrics across Brand, Growth and Int’l teams.
- Develop dashboards and reporting that provide real-time, actionable visibility of performance, campaign effectiveness, pipeline contribution and business outcomes.
- Partner with Finance + Insights teams to establish attribution models, reporting standards and performance insights.
- Lead regular business reviews, identifying opportunities to optimise performance and improve return on investment.
- Partner with Finance and Growth Leadership to manage annual marketing budgets and investment planning.
- Track spend across teams, markets and programmes, ensuring effective allocation of resources against strategic priorities.
- Build forecasting models and investment frameworks that support data-informed decision making.
- Act as the operational connector between Growth, Brand, Product, Finance, Data, Customer Experience and Business teams.
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions, leadership reviews and cross-functional governance meetings.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Some international travel (at least 10-25% of the time) is required.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in Marketing Strategy, Marketing Operations, Business Operations or Commercial Strategy within a high-growth technology, SaaS, marketplace or digital consumer business.
- Demonstrated success building marketing planning processes, operating models and organisational rhythms from the ground up.
- Experience leading annual planning, quarterly business reviews, integrated launch planning and cross-functional programme management.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect marketing activity to business outcomes and financial performance.
- Excellent analytical capability, including experience developing KPIs, dashboards, measurement frameworks and executive reporting.
- Deep understanding of modern marketing organisations across Brand, Growth, Product Marketing and Creative functions.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across complex global organisations.
