We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. This is a pivotal role designed for someone looking to launch or accelerate their career in accounting, whilst being part of an exciting industry. Key Responsibilities
- Purchase Ledger: Processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and preparing payment runs.
- Sales Ledger: Assisting with credit control, issuing invoices, and allocating incoming payments.
- Bank Reconciliations: Monitoring daily bank activity and ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
- Month-End Support: Assisting the Management Accountant with journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Expenses & Credit Cards: Auditing employee expense claims and company credit card spend.
- Ad-hoc Reporting: Providing data and administrative support for audits and internal financial reviews.
Qualifications
- Numeracy & Accuracy: High attention to detail.
- Tech Savvy: Strong spreadsheet skills (vlookups, pivot tables) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP).
- Communication: Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ambition: A genuine desire to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.
