Were looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to join our Food & Safety Team, helping to protect communities and support local businesses across Swale, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells. This is a dynamic, varied role where youll combine regulation, advice and partnership working to drive high standards in food safety and workplace health. Responsibilities * Carrying out inspections and investigations across a wide range of businesses. * Supporting businesses with clear, practical advice to achieve compliance. * Taking enforcement action where needed, including preparing cases and attending court. * Investigating complaints and public health risks, including infectious disease cases. * Leading on specialist areas and contributing to service improvement projects. Qualifications * A degree or diploma in Environmental Health (or equivalent). * Experience in food safety and health & safety enforcement. * Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of people. * Excellent organisation and the ability to manage your own workload. * A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and commitment to public health. * Full UK Driving License and access to a car. Benefits * Financial: An attractive basic salary within a clear pay structure.
