Joining our team as an Asbestos Operative means you’ll be supplied with a company vehicle, a fuel card and, as well as receiving a steady income through your salary, your pay could potentially be boosted through our multi-skilling scheme. You will receive an impressive holiday entitlement, which starts at 34 days and raises to 39 days per year, and be part of a generous pension scheme.
Due to increasing workload, we have two positions available; one permanent full-time, and one on an initial 12-month fixed-term basis until January 2026.
The role involves:
- Undertaking asbestos surveys.
- Checking asbestos surveys completed by sub-contracted asbestos surveying companies.
- Carrying out non-licensed asbestos-related tasks, including the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials in accordance with CAR 2012, encapsulation of asbestos containing materials, building enclosures, etc.
- Mentoring an apprentice, volunteer, or work experience placement.
A level of flexibility and expertise will be required in completing the work ‘right first time’ with minimum supervision or need for follow-on trades.
If you are lucky enough to be successful, your base salary will be £28,686.00. As part of this role, you may be eligible for allowances including multiskilling allowance, which will be discussed if you are invited to an interview.
Internal candidates must discuss a secondment with their line manager before applying for the fixed-term role.
