The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This is an offshore position, valid offshore certs are required along with experience.

Duties

  • Provide hydraulic maintenance support to offshore installations in accordance with company.
  • Acts as hydraulic technical focal point onshore.
  • Provides support to offshore installations for all hydraulic maintenance requirements.
  • Makes cost effective and safety decisions/investigations with regard to the repair, maintenance and modifications of all installation equipment.
  • Reviews planned maintenance routines to ensure equipment is maintained correctly whilst making most effective use of work force.
  • Prepares/reviews engineering work packs and close out reports developed externally for technical content.
  • Determines spare part requirements for items of equipment.
  • Co-ordinates lube oil/grease supply for all installation equipment.
  • Prepares material/service requisitions, offshore visit request forms and requests for modifications.
  • Prepares specifications for additional installation of equipment.
  • Works in accordance with agreed performance standards, targets and goals.
  • Actively contributes towards continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Keeps knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and shares this within the department.
  • Reports regularly to the Lead Mechanical Tech on personal achievements.
  • Correctly administers work.
  • Uses and maintains corporate standards.
  • Develops and proposes improvements.
  • Assists the onshore emergency organization when required.
  • Liaises with vendors when required for offshore support.

Education & experience

  • Experience as Hydraulic Technician in a North Sea environment.
  • Thorough, relevant experience in mechanical hydraulic engineering.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy for discipline calculations and document processing.
  • Affinity with technical matters and in-depth analysis of technical problems.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • Awareness of the safety culture in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Good understanding of a multicultural, 24/7 production environment.
