We are looking for a HSEQ Manager based in Aberdeen to join our client in a staff role position.

Responsibilities

  • To maintain and develop the Company's Health & Safety & Environment Management Systems, Policy and Manual and accreditation statuses.
  • To maintain and develop the group's Quality Manual, Quality Policy and accreditation status.
  • Lead, investigate and implement appropriate preventative actions and mitigations using Safety 123 process.
  • Ensure prompt and effective response to incidents and accidents.
  • Identify root cause and contributing factors.
  • Prevent recurrence through corrective actions and communicate findings clearly and efficiently.
  • To promote an HSE culture and lead efforts to improve HSE and Quality performance.
  • To advise/support managers/supervisors on matters relating to Quality, Health, Safety & Environment.
  • To ensure that legal and 'best practice' is implemented as far as records, documentation, storage, retrieval, archiving, presentation and back-up are concerned to ensure compliance.
  • To liaise with clients and suppliers on all matters concerning HSEQ.
  • To co-ordinate all HSEQ documentation to ensure AJT Engineering's IMS remains compliant with relevant standards.
  • To effect continual improvement in the management information system of the group.
  • To be the management representative for HSEQ and as such responsible for hosting 3rd party audits.
  • To conduct internal audits, site tours/audits, supplier audits and create/issue reports accordingly and raise all findings within Progress Plus.
  • Reporting to the management team on the performance of the HSEQ Management systems.
  • To oversee the integrity and impartiality of inspection processes.
  • To co-ordinate NDT training and competency and budgetary responsibility for inspection compliance equipment.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Managing Director.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Preferred (5) years of overall HSEQ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Certified Member of IOSH.
  • Lead Auditor Certificate.
  • Must have working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Possess computer skills and knowledge of using Microsoft software packages such as Word and Excel.
  • Engineering background (preferably with recognised qualification).
