We are seeking a committed and hardworking Facilities Operative to join our client Housing and Property Services team. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all sites within your remit are cleaned and maintained in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service.
Duration: 6 Month may go perm for the correct candidate
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained to meet contractual standards and high-quality expectations
- Respond to customer requests promptly, courteously, and effectively
- Carry out all duties safely, identifying risks, reporting incidents, and highlighting areas for improvement
- Work in accordance with risk assessments, training, and approved methods, contributing to the development of safe systems of work
- Maintain all equipment and machinery, ensuring they are safe, secure, and used in line with manufacturer guidance and PPE requirements
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and travel between sites as required
- Clean and maintain communal internal and external areas
- Monitor and report repairs or maintenance issues
- Remove waste, including fly-tipped items, dog fouling, and sharps, in line with safe working procedures
- Carry out specialist cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of communal carpets and gutter cleaning using ground-level vacuum systems
- Undertake void property cleans and clearances
- Report graffiti, complaints, and anti-social behaviour to the appropriate teams
- Valid Driving Licence
- Training will be provided
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety practices
- Customer-focused with good communication skills
- Flexible approach to work across multiple sites
