As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in keeping our site running safely and efficiently, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement across our engineering systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Respond to breakdowns and carry out planned maintenance, statutory checks and inspections across site.
- Prioritise workload in liaison with the Engineering Team Leader to minimise downtime and meet business needs.
- Complete end-of-shift reports, logging completed work and flagging issues for the incoming team.
- Control contractors on site, including inductions and permits, ensuring safe and compliant working.
- Work within company health, safety and environmental policies, applying permit to work and isolation systems as required.
- Support a range of engineering and non-engineering projects across the business.
- Be prepared to cover additional hours in emergency situations.
- Experienced in breakdown maintenance with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Able to fault-find from mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Sound understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Good computer skills and confident completing digital reports.
- Qualified to ONC level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of PLC fault finding, machining, welding or pipe fitting would be a bonus.
- First Aid or forklift/scissor lift licence desirable.
