Tullie is looking for an AAT-qualified Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at an exciting time in our development as we deliver Project Tullie - an ambitious capital programme transforming the museum and its role at the heart of Carlisle.Based in the city centre, Tullie is one of Carlisles key cultural organisations, playing an important role in the citys heritage, visitor economy and civic life. This is a varied and important finance role within a small, friendly team, supporting both the day-to-day financial operations and the wider strategic development of the organisation.This role would also suit someone looking to develop their career into charity and museum finance, gaining exposure to a wide range of financial processes including trading income, VAT, Gift Aid and audit requirements.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYProcessing sales and purchase invoices using Sage 200Maintaining sales and purchase ledger records and preparing supplier payment runsReconciling bank accounts, income streams and balance sheet accountsSupporting payroll administration, including payroll submissions and reconciliationsAssisting with month-end processes, budget monitoring and financial reportingReconciling income from visitor services and commercial activitySupporting VAT returns, Gift Aid processes, audit preparation and financial complianceMaintaining accurate financial records and supporting improvements to financial systems and processesTPBN1_UKTJ
