Tullie is seeking a proactive and highly organised Events Assistant to support the planning and delivery of a wide range of events, including weddings, corporate room hires, public programmes, and private functions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality events at Carlisle’s home of culture.
Purpose of the Role
- Support the planning, setup, and delivery of events including weddings, corporate hires, and public programmes, ensuring smooth operations and a high-quality visitor experience.
- Manage event bookings, update systems, coordinate with suppliers, handle invoicing, budgeting, reporting, and internal communications.
- Work evenings and weekends as needed, helping to set up spaces, welcome guests, and evaluate events while collaborating closely across teams to support Tullie’s ambitious growth and audience development goals.
This is an exciting time to join Tullie. We’re in the middle of a major capital development project, having recently opened our new welcome space, café, gallery, and shop – with more to come. We’re focused on growing our footfall and attracting younger and more diverse audiences through creative, engaging events.
Flexibility is essential, with evening and weekend work expected. The ideal candidate will be confident using digital systems, great at communicating, and comfortable working both behind the scenes and at live events.
