Role Description The Registered Manager role at TulipCare is a full-time, on-site position based in Ware. The Registered Manager oversees the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include leading and supporting staff, developing care plans, monitoring outcomes for children, and maintaining accurate records and reports. The role involves liaising with external professionals and families, managing budgets and resources, and implementing policies and procedures that promote the wellbeing, development, and empowerment of children. The Registered Manager is expected to foster a positive, child-centered culture and continuously improve service quality.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing children’s residential or care services, with strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, safeguarding practices, and quality standards within children’s care settings.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities for working with children, families, and external partners.
  • Capability in planning, organizing, and overseeing day-to-day operations, including record-keeping and reporting.
  • Relevant professional qualification in social care, childcare, or a related field; registration with appropriate regulatory bodies as required.
  • Commitment to child-centered practice, empowerment, and promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Comfort with using basic IT systems and software for documentation, reporting, and communication.
