We are looking for an experienced, organised and personable Property Manager to join our established estate and letting agency in Hull. Our managed portfolio includes residential family homes, Houses in Multiple Occupation, student and professional accommodation, and mixed commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property management while building strong and professional relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of residential, HMO and mixed commercial properties on behalf of property owners.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for landlords and tenants.
  • Building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with property owners.
  • Dealing with tenant enquiries, maintenance issues, complaints and general tenancy matters.
  • Liaising with landlords, tenants, contractors and members of the maintenance team.
  • Assisting with the letting and marketing of available properties.
  • Ensuring property listings on Rightmove, our company website and other marketing platforms are accurate, up to date and professionally presented.
  • Checking property descriptions, photographs, rental prices and availability dates.
  • Working closely with the lettings team to arrange and carry out property viewings.
  • Assisting applicants throughout the letting process.
  • Helping to resolve tenancy issues in a professional and practical manner.
  • Monitoring vacant properties and helping to ensure they are marketed and let as quickly as possible.
  • Keeping accurate records of conversations, instructions, maintenance issues and actions taken.
  • Assisting with property inspections, tenancy renewals, compliance matters and general administration where required.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be confident communicating with a wide range of people and capable of dealing calmly and professionally with both landlords and tenants. Previous experience within estate agency, lettings, property management or housing would be an advantage. Experience managing HMO or commercial properties would also be beneficial, although training can be provided.

You should have:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • A practical and professional approach to problem-solving.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage several matters at the same time.
  • Confidence dealing with landlords, tenants, contractors and applicants.
  • Good computer skills and experience using property management or estate agency software.
  • A full UK driving licence.
