Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Technical Logistics & Asset Controller to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a newly created role offering an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in inventory control, logistics, or resource management. The successful candidate will be a highly organised and proactive individual with strong attention to detail, particularly when managing documentation, audit trails, and compliance records. You will be responsible for overseeing goods in and goods out processes, so a good understanding of export documentation and procedures is essential. Duties include packaging and preparation of high value equipment for shipment. Occasionally, you may be required to drive company vehicles to transport equipment between sites, therefore a full UK driving licence is required.

Key duties:

  • Support inbound and outbound logistics, including booking in, booking out, allocation, returns and asset tracking across internal locations and customer sites.
  • Support the management of storage facilities, ensuring appropriate handling, storage, packaging and security controls for company and customer assets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset registers and databases, ensuring traceability, compliance and audit readiness.
  • Monitor stock levels for technical equipment, spares and components, supporting timely ordering and replenishment in line with operational requirements.
  • Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers on logistics, returns, warranty claims, replacements and consumable spares for internal and external sites.
  • Support with resource planning, forecasting and reporting on asset utilisation, availability and condition.
  • Maintain clear documentation, administration and stakeholder updates, ensuring records are accurate, timely and controlled.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities within technical resource management and logistics processes.
  • Follow security requirements, including handling and storage controls, and report any security concerns in line with company procedures.
  • Provide support to export and shipping processes, ensuring accurate asset documentation and record keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in technical asset management, inventory control, logistics or resource management, ideally within an engineering, operational, defence or similarly regulated environment.
  • Understanding of asset lifecycle processes, including allocation, tracking, warranty administration and compliance documentation.
  • Experience using inventory or asset management systems and maintaining accurate technical records.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and basic health and safety requirements in line with UK statutory guidance.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing tasks to deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, particularly for documentation, audit trails and compliance records.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
