We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver / Yard Assistant to join our clients busy team based in Farnborough. This is a varied role that involves delivering plant equipment to customers and job sites, maintaining a tidy and well-organised yard and workshop, and supporting the fitters with day-to-day tasks. Experience of driving with a trailer is essential for this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering plant machinery and goods using a panel van and trailer
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery and equipment
- Assisting in the workshop with loading/unloading and general support
- Keeping the workshop and yard clean, organised, and safe
- Helping to keep the parts store stocked and in order
- Assisting fitters with mechanical tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience driving a van and trailer
- Forklift licence (preferred)
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Organised and self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
