Are you an experienced HR professional with strong expertise in Employee Relations (ER) seeking a contract until end of Sept 2026 working on a hybrid basis? Our client is seeking a confident and capable ER Advisor to join an established team supporting a dynamic organisation through a busy and impactful period.
Reporting into the Employee Relations Lead, you’ll play a key role in providing expert ER advice and guidance to line managers, enabling effective people management and supporting a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing advice, guidance and support to line managers on a range of Employee Relations issues, adopting a coaching style to support the development of organisational capability in managing these issues.
- A key point of contact for ER issues that arise as a result of any organisational change.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures and that they are effectively and consistently applied across the organisation.
- Preparing documentation for Employment Tribunal cases and providing technical support to relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting the delivery of people-focused organisational initiatives including activities such as supporting employee wellbeing and engagement, alignment of systems, policies and practices alongside new ways of working.
- Proven experience of delivering an Employee Relations advisory service in a fast-paced, progressive HR environment with strong experience in casework.
- Ideally, you’ll be CIPD qualified or working towards this but it’s not essential.
- Experience of developing, coaching and training managers on ER matters.
- Confidence to consult on a range of complex People issues with a proven ability to deliver against a range of conflicting demands.
- Sound knowledge of Employment Law principles and current trends/recent changes, as well as People policies, procedures and best practice.
- Strong time management, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Clear communication and coaching skills with a proven track record of being able to influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Ability to work independently whilst also working as a team, and remain calm and resilient during times of change and pressure.
- Any experience of managing Employment Tribunals would be advantageous but is not essential.
