Overview
In this role you will be part of a global engineering team ensuring safe, punctual, and cost-efficient aircraft maintenance. You will work at Gatwick, maintain A‑rated fleets, and support both base and away-from-base requirements. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and influence technical health and reliability. This is a hands-on position that combines certification tasks with leadership across licensed staff and compliance. You’ll be engaged in meaningful, worldwide projects that shape fleet performance.

Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance and certify per technical docs and procedures
- Monitor and certify work of A‑Licensed colleagues
- Support on-time performance and cabin health to minimise deferred defects
- Assist away-from-base requirements, including down-route support
- Build and promote relationships internally and externally to raise TUI group awareness
- Provide technical updates to Supervisor/Duty Engineer/Station Engineer/LMM as required
- Deputise as requested
- Ensure compliance with Local Airport regulations, Company procedures, H&S, EMS, IT and HR policies
- Promote company values at all times
Key requirements
- Licensed engineer with Part 145 approval on B737NG, B737MAX & B787 with substantial operational maintenance experience
- Operational awareness
- Team player able to work independently
- Logical thinker with problem-solving skills
- Proactive in seeking work and assisting team members
- Excellent communication skills across the business and with external customers
- IT competence
- Ability to hold Airport Security pass and local Airside driving permits
