ABOUT THE JOB
You’ll manage the 24/7 Maintenance Operations Centre team, providing leadership and technical guidance while ensuring continuous operational support across TUI’s global fleet. You’ll coordinate complex AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations, making critical decisions on maintenance actions, parts procurement and recovery plans to minimize disruption. You’ll serve as the primary interface between Engineering, Flight Operations and Commercial teams during technical incidents, ensuring clear communication and aligned decision-making. You’ll oversee troubleshooting activities for in-service defects, guiding your team in providing expert technical advice to flight crews and engineers worldwide. You’ll monitor fleet technical status, deferred defects and maintenance planning to optimize aircraft availability while maintaining the highest safety standards. You’ll develop and mentor MOC Engineers, building technical capabilities while fostering a collaborative culture focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
You have extensive aircraft maintenance experience with a CAA/EASA B1/B2 license and proven leadership in an operational engineering environment. You possess excellent technical knowledge across multiple aircraft types with strong troubleshooting abilities and AOG recovery experience. You bring sound decision-making skills with the ability to assess operational risk and make timely judgments under pressure. You’re experienced with maintenance management systems like AMOS, with understanding of planning functions and modification control. You have outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical situations clearly to diverse stakeholders. You’re adaptable and resilient with willingness to support operations at short notice, including potential overseas travel when required.
