As the Flight Crew Scheduling Manager (FCSM), you will lead multiple Crew Planning teams responsible for delivery of the flight crew training program, the optimisation, compliance, and efficient delivery of all TUI Airways and TUIfly Nordic flight crew rosters. You'll be responsible for the program of training from planning right through to operational delivery, including the documentation of all flight crew training requirements in accordance with regulatory & Airline compliance.
We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite at our office in Luton. Please note during roster publication week there will be a higher requirement to be onsite. The role will be published until 3 July 2026.

You’ll lead multiple Crew Planning teams responsible for delivering our flight crew training programme, ensuring all pilots meet regulatory requirements to fly our aircraft in the most cost-effective way for the business. When variances occur due to changes in the flying programme, fleet roll-over, or operational disruption, you’ll identify fact-based recommendations around risks and opportunities, ensuring consequences are costed and communicated effectively to senior stakeholders.
Driving continuous improvements and innovation across flight crew rostering and training teams will be central to your role, maximising crew productivity and operational flexibility through enhanced systems, processes, and data-driven insights. You’ll monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators regularly, determining training and rostering quality, productivity, and cost measures whilst leveraging automation and AI where appropriate to improve data accuracy and accessibility.
Building strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders and trade unions will be essential, as you’ll support negotiations and develop agreements focused on crew productivity, operational flexibility, and cost-saving initiatives. Engaging and motivating your team to fulfil their potential is a priority—you’ll coach your people, drive high performance, and encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOUWith a proven success in people management, you are used to dealing with larger teams and leading change with a flexible attitude to cultivate strong team dynamics and drive high performance. Your proven ability to work under pressure means you can assimilate complex information, determine priorities, and make decisions based on sound judgement.
Being a clear and competent communicator enables you to liaise, engage, and influence effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels up to and including Director level. With proven behavioural traits of driving continuous improvement, you develop and own processes, with the presence of mind and confidence to positively challenge where appropriate.
Your IT competency includes experience in rostering or planning systems (JCR knowledge preferable), and you can interpret CAA and EASA Regulations, Flight Time Limitations, Training Regulations, and Industrial Agreements with excellent attention to detail. Relevant educational background in Maths and English to at least A Level standard, or equivalent experience.
