Tug is an award-winning digital marketing agency delivering results-driven campaigns across SEO, Content, Paid Media, Social, Display, OOH, and more. We’ve got offices in London, Sydney, Toronto, and Berlin — and we’re proud to be named one of Campaign’s Best Places to Work. We’re serious about performance, passionate about creativity, and committed to cultivating a culture that puts people first.
About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, curious, and creative Junior Copywriter to join our growing content team. This is a great opportunity for someone with some agency or in-house experience looking to build on their writing skills, flex their creativity across channels, and get stuck into a wide variety of content — from social copy and blog posts to digital campaigns and SEO content. You’ll be a natural storyteller with a passion for punchy, engaging copy and a keen interest in how technology (especially AI) is changing the way we communicate.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Write compelling, well-researched copy across multiple platforms — from LinkedIn posts and web pages to campaign headlines and SEO content
- We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about creating engaging content for social media, stays up to date with the latest platform trends, and is excited by the challenge of building a distinctive, consistent brand voice.
- Work closely with designers, strategists, and other copywriters to bring ideas to life and deliver high-quality creative work
- Adapt your tone of voice to suit different brands, audiences, and channels
- Stay up to date with social trends, emerging platforms, and innovations in content and copy
- Support the content team in ideation, research, and creative concepting
- Learn how to review content through a performance and SEO lens
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required
- 1–2 years’ experience in a copywriting or content-focused role — agency or in-house
- A strong portfolio of writing that shows both creativity and clarity
- Passion for all things copy, from big ideas to the smallest details
- Interest in the future of content and tech — especially the role of AI in marketing
- A good grasp of SEO fundamentals and how they apply to content
- Strong understanding of the purpose and audience of different social platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) and the ability to tailor messaging, tone, and format to suit each one effectively
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment, with great attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow as part of a supportive team
Why Join Tug?
- A supportive, creative, and collaborative environment
- The chance to work on well-known brands and high-impact campaigns
- Real opportunity for growth and development in your copywriting career
- A team that values fresh thinking, initiative, and shared success
- 25 days holiday
- Flexi working
- 1x Charity Day – opportunity to commit one of your working days per year to help a charity
- Pension scheme & financial advice from a financial advisor
- Private healthcare, eye tests and dental care
- Annual season ticket loan
- International working – opportunity to apply for overseas office vacancies after 12 months
- Remote working from international offices
- Office/event perks – breakfast club and monthly socials
We’re interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United Kingdom. However, we are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
