Overview of the Stockroom Operator Role:
The Stockroom Operator at Tuffa Tanks will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and the efficient movement of all deliveries and stock for the site, whilst ensuring that all relevant paperwork is accurately maintained at all times.
Stockroom Operator Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with the Purchasing Department daily and feeding back any changes.
- Managing stock and maintaining stock levels along with being proactive in placing orders through the Company Sage/S.A.P system.
- Packaging and parcelling customer orders to a high standard.
- Picking parts for relevant internal departments in a timely manner and updating the relevant paperwork or electronic sheets.
- Programming of Telemetries for upcoming orders to be manufactured (Training to be provided).
- Communicate with heads of departments (Supervisors) and advise of any delays or disruptions.
- Do daily stock checks on item parts and input data accordingly.
Stockroom Operator Requirements:
- Experience working in an environment with stock/inventory management (preferred).
- Regularly lifting and manoeuvring heavy and bulky objects.
- Ability to work at height.
- Ability to work with and communicate well with others.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean working area.
- Good PC skills (use of SAP is an advantage).
