We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Office Assistant to join our growing team.

The Role

As an Office Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our office, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth administration and general business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries professionally.
  • Manage incoming emails and distribute correspondence.
  • Prepare quotations, sales orders and invoices.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise with customers and transport companies.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks.
  • Organise appointments and office documentation.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office assistant role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Confident using computer systems and learning new software.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
  • Friendly, professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Good numerical skills and accuracy when processing orders.

Desirable

  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, construction or building materials.
  • Full UK driving licence.
