Tudor Medical Group is a GP Practice located in Wolverhampton serving approximately 24,000 patients over 4 branches, all within close proximity. We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our expanding team. There is opportunity for 1 or 0.5 full time equivalent Practice Nurse to start immediately on a permanent contract.
There is a well-developed Nursing team to work with comprising of Clinical Nurse Lead, Practice Nurse, Community Nurse and three HCAs. We also have allied health professionals comprising of five Physician Associates, one Pharmacist Practitioner, one Diabetes Specialist Pharmacist, and two Pharmacy Technicians. These teams are supported by General Practitioners, an experienced Administrative and Nursing team. A streamlined proactive approach to daily work makes the workload manageable and enjoyable. Systems used include EMIS Web, Docman, ICE, and AccuRx. Staff are encouraged to engage in training relevant to the post after discussion with the Nurse Lead.
Main duties of the job:
- The Practice Nurse will support the nursing and clinical team.
- The role will require the post holder to run their own clinics ensuring the appropriate history taking, examination and management plan is formulated.
- The post involves a mixture of appointments including face to face, telephone, online consultation and home visits.
- The Practice Nurse will contribute to administrative duties within General Practice including actioning of Clinical correspondence, Emis tasks, IPC audits, Immunisation audits and Smear audits.
- Training will be provided in these areas where needed but existing experience is beneficial.

The Practice Nurse will have access to a supervising General Practitioner for clinical support and advice. All staff work across all 4 sites adding variety to the role. All sites are in close proximity to the centre of Wolverhampton.
Job responsibilities:
- The practice nurse will play a major role in supporting the practice with chronic disease management as per QoF guidelines.
- Administer immunisations for both adults and children and strive to improve standards of care and be involved in identifying practice population needs.
Person Specification:
- Recognised Nursing qualification
- Current NMC registration
- Specialist courses appropriate to primary care, e.g.: CHD, diabetes, family planning, asthma and COPD care & infection control management
- Ability to demonstrate competencies in a range of chronic disease areas
