Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a well-established and reputable law firm.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar Legal Cashier role within a law firm and possess a strong working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing client receipts received in person and over the telephone
- Checking online banking and allocating payments to client ledgers
- Preparing daily banking and arranging bank deposits
- Posting receipts and payments to client ledgers
- Producing weekly new matter reports for Heads of Department
- Preparing Priority and BACS payments and obtaining relevant approvals
- Processing cheque requests through the case management system
- Preparing client ledger and time breakdown reports
- Checking completion statements
- Processing client invoices through the case management system
- Managing purchase ledger invoices and preparing payment runs
- Providing cover for colleagues during periods of absence
- Supporting the Finance Manager with additional duties as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
- Good working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Excel
- Ability to clearly explain financial information
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong accuracy and problem-solving skills
