Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to work for one of our Children’s Residential homes based in Burton upon Trent. We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Registered Manager to lead and inspire a team, ensuring children and young people receive the highest quality care, positive role models, and a safe, nurturing environment.
Duties of a Registered Manager will include:
- Leading the daily operations of the home, ensuring consistently high-quality care and positive outcomes for young people
- Ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, including audits and Ofsted readiness
- Recruiting, supervising, and developing a high-performing, motivated care team
- Taking the lead on safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and staff
- Building strong working relationships with local authorities, schools, health services, and other stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement and development across the home and organisation
- Managing rotas, budgets, and regulatory requirements efficiently
- Responding flexibly to the needs of the home, including varied shifts or sleep‑ins if required
- Contributing to care planning, risk assessment, and safeguarding procedures
- Supporting with on-call duties
In order to be considered for the role of Registered Manager:
- Recent experience working within a Children’s Residential Service at Registered Manager level
- A Good or Outstanding grade within recent Ofsted inspections
- Exceptional management & leadership skills with a passion for high-quality care
- Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children & Young People’s Workforce) – or equivalent
- Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management – or equivalent
Hours of Work: 40‑hour contract, 8‑hour days over a 7‑day period with a mixture of working hours.
