An established and growing organisation within the heavy duty filtration sector is seeking a commercially driven External Account Manager to develop and expand a portfolio of customers. This role involves building strong customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and promoting a broad range of filtration solutions to distributors and OEMs. The role would suit someone with a strong sales background and focus on relationship rapport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage customer visits across an assigned region, maintaining a strong and active sales pipeline
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with distributors, OEMs, and industrial clients
- Deliver against revenue targets through account development, upselling, cross-selling, and new business generation
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of filtration products across engine mobile and industrial applications
- Create structured account plans and track performance against KPIs using a bespoke CRM system
- Provide guidance to customers on product selection and suitable filtration solutions
- Accurately log customer activity, opportunities, and pipeline updates
- Keep up to date with competitor activity and industry trends
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities
- Comfortable managing a territory and planning your own schedule effectively
- Good understanding of pricing, margins, and delivering customer value
- Full UK Driving Licence essential for the role
- Experience with a CRM platform
- Experience of selling B2B via a distribution network
Working Hours & Travel:
- Full-time, field-based role (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm), with flexibility required
- Regular travel across the assigned territory
- Overnight stays required, dictated by the successful candidate’s planning and territory coverage
