Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for a Children’s Care Home in Birmingham. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to support children and young people in a residential care setting.

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Duties of a Deputy Manager will include:

  • Assist in managing daily operations and leading shifts
  • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Supervise, mentor, and support staff, ensuring high care standards
  • Lead shifts and provide on-call support when required
  • Supervise and support staff, conducting training and appraisals
  • Ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance (Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015)
  • Support care planning and advocate for young people’s well-being
  • Maintain a safe, well-run home and complete administrative duties

In order to be considered for the role of a Deputy Manager:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it
  • Experience working in a children’s residential setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and safeguarding knowledge
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (must be flexible to cover if required)
