Are you an experienced Sewing Machinist looking for a stable, full-time opportunity with an established manufacturer in Dudley?
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Sewing Machinist to join a busy production team, working on the manufacture of high-quality upholstered furniture products.
Duties:
- Operating industrial sewing machines to produce upholstery covers and furniture components
- Sewing a range of fabrics, vinyls, and specialist materials to required specifications
- Reading and interpreting production sheets, patterns, and work instructions
- Inspecting materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Working closely with fabric cutters, upholsterers, and production colleagues
- Identifying and reporting defects, shortages, or production issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Meeting daily production targets while maintaining high levels of workmanship
- Ensuring all work complies with company quality and health & safety requirements
Requirements:
- Previous sewing machinist experience is essential
- Experience working with upholstery, furniture, textiles, or similar products is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently to production targetsGood communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable with a positive work ethic
