Stores Person (Counterbalance FLT)
Location: Cradley Heath, Birmingham
Job Type: Full Time | Temp to Perm
Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Stores Person to join a well-established business based in Cradley Heath, Birmingham. This is a hands-on, physically active role that combines general warehouse and stores duties with approximately 1-2 hours of forklift truck operation each day.
The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Whilst previous experience is beneficial, it is not essential as attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general stores and warehouse duties
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading, unloading, and moving stock around the warehouse
- Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
- Assisting with manual handling tasks, including lifting items up to 20kg
What We're Looking For
- Valid RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (essential)
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Friendly, positive, and reliable attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse or stores experience is advantageous but not essential
