Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a 7.5T Van Driver to work for our client based in Aldridge. Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Van Driver to make deliveries to customers in the Midlands area.
Rate of Pay: £27,000 per annum
Duties will include:
- Deliver to customers using a 7.5T vehicle
- Discharge duties in a safe manner in accordance with relevant legislation and EHS policies
- Report any hazards immediately
- Use all equipment provided in accordance with safe working practice
- Ensure the warehouse and yard are always kept clean and tidy, that spillages are promptly cleared and waste minimised
- Receive goods and check into the warehouse accurately
- Place goods correctly into storage bays whilst ensuring that stock is stored to allow safe storage, lifting, and lowering
- Pick goods accurately and build pallets in a way that protects personal safety, the safety of the driver in transit and when delivering and ensures the integrity of the product
- Report any short orders
- Assist in loading vehicles, working with the driver to ensure compliance with all legal requirements on vehicle loading
- Assist in stock checking routines as requested
The ideal candidate:
- Valid UK driving licence, Tacho & CPC. (CPC required for applicants who passed their test after 1997)
- Previous experience in a driving or delivery role
- Good physical fitness to support
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm
