About Tuckshop

Tuckshop is a brand incubator and investment platform helping FMCG Founders and Creators turn great ideas into thriving businesses. Founded by Jamie Laing and Ed Sweet Williams, we back and support the next generation of FMCG entrepreneurs through investment, brand-building expertise, and a team of people who've been through it themselves. We want Tuckshop to be the place FMCG Founders come to for knowledge, support, and connection.

The role

We're looking for a Community & Social Manager to be the beating heart of the Tuckshop community, both online and in person. You'll own our social presence and build and nurture a genuine network of founders & creators who see Tuckshop as their go-to community. No two days will be the same. One day you’ll be creating a report on the coolest food & drink trends in the UK right now, then you’ll be capturing BTS content from very cool meetings Tuckshop finds themselves in. This is a role for someone who loves the FMCG start-up world and gets real energy from bringing people together.

What you'll do day to day

  • Socials: Manage and post across Tuckshop's Instagram and LinkedIn, planning content, writing copy, and keeping the tone sharp, founder-first, and true to the Tuckshop voice. Grow our following and engagement by telling great stories from within the food & drink founder world.
  • Community Building: Build and run a WhatsApp group (or similar) connecting Founders across the food & drink space. Plan and host supper clubs, events, and meet-ups that bring the community together in person. Create genuine value for members (introductions, advice, shared learnings) so the community becomes a trusted go-to resource, not just a group chat.
  • Portfolio Nurture: Make sure every Tuckshop investment feels genuinely part of the Tuckshop family, checking in, connecting them to others in the network, and championing their progress. Act as a friendly, consistent point of contact between Tuckshop and the founders we back.
  • Brand Management: We want Tuckshop to become famous, and it’s your job to make that happen! You’ll manage the Tuckshop brand and ensure we’re in all the right places.

What you’re like

  • You love FMCG start-ups: the founders, the hustle, the industry gossip, all of it.
  • You love building community and get a real kick out of connecting people.
  • You're a natural on social media, confident writing copy and comfortable behind (or in front of) the camera.
  • You're organised enough to run a WhatsApp group full of busy founders and an events calendar without dropping the ball.
  • You're warm, personable, and genuinely curious about other people's businesses.
  • You take initiative: you'll be given a clear mission and the freedom to make it your own.

Why are we looking for this role?

Done well, this role turns Tuckshop into the fountain of knowledge for FMCG start-ups in the UK, the place founders think of first when they need advice, an introduction, or just to feel like they’re not doing this alone. You'll be building that from the ground up, mainly through socials and events.
