Tuckers Solicitors are a leading Legal Aid and Private Client criminal defence firm with a history dating back to 1984. Our nationwide team of expert lawyers provides high-quality legal representation, successfully defending clients across a full range of criminal offences. We are recognised by Chambers, The Legal 500 and Spears 500 for our dedication to excellence and integrity.

We are looking to expand further in the Midlands and are currently seeking to recruit a Criminal Paralegal to join our team in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities
  • Litigating Crown Court files and providing expert advice to clients facing charges in the Crown Court.
  • Representing own and duty solicitor clients at the police station.
  • Manage a varied caseload involving general crime, including offences such as Burglary, Robbery, sexual offences, and fraud.
  • Prepare legal arguments, brief counsel (in house and at chambers) and liaise with counsel on case progression and strategy.
  • Draft legal documents, interview witnesses, and prepare case files to a high professional standard.
  • Ensure all file handling is compliant with firm policies, LAA regulations, and SRA standards.
  • Liaise effectively with clients and external agencies to progress cases efficiently.
  • Police station accreditation essential.
