Interim HR Director | London | Up to Β£110,000p/a + Bonus | 12 month FTC

We are partnering with a boutique, purpose led, international consultancy to appoint an Interim HR Director for an initial period of transformation and change.

This is a HR leadership role with genuine global scope, working closely with the CEO and Group Chief People Officer and playing a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation's people strategy across multiple international markets.

The organisation has approximately 200 employees across eight countries, with a small, highly capable global HR team spanning the UK and APAC.

The Role

The successful candidate will operate as a trusted partner to the senior leadership team, combining strategic leadership with a pragmatic, hands on approach.

This is an opportunity for an HR leader who is comfortable setting the direction but equally willing to get into the detail and deliver where required.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading and developing the global HR function and team.
  • Shaping and delivering the global people strategy, aligning it with organisational priorities and local market requirements.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing constructive challenge and influencing key business decisions.
  • Leading organisational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Overseeing the full HR agenda including reward, performance, L&D, organisational design, recruitment, EDI and employee relations.
  • Balancing strategic projects with high touch operational HR delivery.
  • Working across international time zones, including Europe, APAC and the Americas.
  • Developing the capability of the HR team and ensuring the function delivers measurable business outcomes.

About You

You are likely to bring

  • Significant experience operating as a senior HR/People leader with genuine global responsibility.
  • Experience working across multiple countries and successfully balancing global consistency with local requirements.
  • Ideally experience within management consulting, professional services or another client led environment.
  • A strong track record of partnering with and influencing CEOs and senior leadership teams.
  • The confidence and credibility to constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading, developing and empowering HR teams.
  • Strong generalist HR expertise across areas such as organisational design, reward, performance, employee relations, talent and change.
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach – someone who can move seamlessly from strategic thinking to rolling up their sleeves and solving an operational problem.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the gravitas and articulation to operate effectively at leadership level.
  • Experience of working in smaller or mid-sized organisations, where the ability to make things happen rather than rely on large teams and extensive infrastructure is essential.
  • A passion for change, transformation and developing people capability.

The role is based in London, with a hybrid working model requiring 2–3 days per week in the office.
