An excellent opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join a well-known independent hotel in Taunton.
This is a key operational role within the business, taking responsibility for a large and busy F&B department encompassing restaurant, bar and a significant events operation. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the position also offers genuine scope to develop over time towards an Operations Manager role.

The Role
As Food & Beverage Manager, you will take a proactive, hands-on approach to the day-to-day management and continued development of the hotels F&B operation.
You will lead and motivate a large team, ensuring consistently high standards of service across the restaurant, bar and busy events business.
Alongside the operational element, you will have full oversight of F&B administration and controls, including GPs, labour margins, stock management, wine lists and cellar management , ensuring the department performs strongly both operationally and commercially.
Working closely with the General Manager, you will also play an active role in developing the wider hotel operation, with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility as you progress.
The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager with a strong background in quality hotel or similar high-volume hospitality environments.
You will be a confident and positive leader who enjoys being visible within the operation and developing a service-focused team.
Commercial awareness is important, with a good understanding of F&B controls, margins and labour management, alongside strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy multi-faceted department.
Most importantly, this role would suit someone ambitious who is looking for a position where they can develop beyond F&B and progress towards a broader operational management role .
