At Cellular Origins, we are transforming how these therapies are made, using advanced automation to help treatments move from bespoke to truly scalable. As our first Finance Director and a member of the C‐suite, you\’ll be at the heart of that shift, helping us use every pound, every investment and every decision to unlock access for more patients around the world.You\’ll join at a pivotal moment. Following a recent $40 million Series A funding round, Cellular Origins is building our Constellation robotic manufacturing platform to industrialise cell therapy production. This is an opportunity to shape the financial strategy of a deep‐tech company that sits at the intersection of life sciences, robotics and manufacturing, and to build a finance function that can support meaningful, long‐term impact.Job Description About the role As Finance Director, you\’ll be the senior financial leader for Cellular Origins and a key member of the C‐suite, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to guide strategic decisions and ensure we grow in a disciplined, sustainable way. You\’ll bring clarity to complexity, translate data into decisions, and help everyone understand how their work contributes to our long‐term goals as an independent company.This is a new role, so you\’ll get to reimagine and build a modern finance function, shaping how we deploy our recent Series A funding and setting the standards, tools and rhythms that will support future growth.What you\’ll do Shape and lead the financial strategy that supports our mission to industrialise cell therapy manufacturing as an independent, privately owned company.Act as a core member of the C‐suite, partnering with the CEO and executive team on strategic choices, trade‐offs and long‐term value creation.Own budgeting, forecasting and long‐range planning, giving the leadership team clear, timely insight into performance and runway.Partner with the CEO and Board on funding strategy, investor reporting and scenario planning as we grow.Build and lead a high‐performing finance team, creating the processes, tools and standards that make great decisions easier. [Plan and manage the in‐source accounting from our current external providers]Develop and refine commercial models for our platform, ensuring pricing and contracting support sustainable growth and strong partnerships.Oversee financial controls, reporting, audit and compliance, keeping us disciplined as we scale.Work closely with operations, engineering and commercial teams to understand cost drivers, optimise unit economics and support key decisions on investment and resourcing.Champion clear communication around numbers, helping the wider team understand how day‐to‐day choices link to our mission and financial health.Qualifications You\’ll excel in this role if you enjoy building as well as refining, and if you\’re motivated by the idea that good financial decisions can directly translate into more patients receiving life‐changing therapies.
