Your work will have a real-world impact. Youll see ideas become a reality as you create prototypes through Awerians rapid approach to design and implementation. Its a fantastically challenging varied and agile role.

Every day you will be operating at the boundary of technological exploration by inventing new solutions and enhancing existing hardware. Typically this will involve analysis computational modelling prototype design invention laboratory testing process development and manufacturing.

Your problem-solving skills will be enhanced as you tackle complex electronic engineering challenges that test your deep understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles beyond pure electronics. You will also have many opportunities to expand your skillset into different areas based on what interests you.

Requirements

You will ideally have 3 years relevant experience working in electronics development in particular RF PCB design and characterisation have a proven track record of design and implementation of technological solutions and hold a relevant degree. Proven experience with RF design tools (for example ADS Microwave Office CST) is essential.

In addition experience in any of the following is desirable :

  • RADAR or communications applications
  • Microwave RF design
  • End-to-end electronics development and test
  • High speed digital PCB design
  • Antenna design
  • DSP
  • Scripting for test and modelling (for example in MATLAB / Simulink Python)

We are keen to hear from Engineers with broad experience in any sector. Previous or current experience in the defence industry is desirable but not essential.
