Our designers, engineers and scientists collaborate across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, satcoms and science, to develop new products and technologies that make a real-world impact.
A Product Design placement at TTP offers the opportunity to join us for a year and work alongside experienced Product Design and Human Factors consultants on exciting live client and internal projects. You'll gain hands-on, practical experience and develop a deeper understanding of what a career in product development consultancy can look like. As TTP is a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you'll work closely with - and learn from - talented designers, engineers and scientists, while also having the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to projects.
You will be based in our Health Tech team, working across a diverse range of projects both within the team and beyond it. You'll contribute to concept development and visualisation, Human Factors and UX design activities, as well as other stages of the product development process. We're looking for students who are proactive and keen to create their own opportunities within TTP.
About You
- Studying towards a 1st or 2:1 degree in Product Design or Industrial Design
- A design portfolio demonstrating an interest in user-centred product development
- The ability to be creative while also making things work in practice
- Self-motivated, with the confidence to take initiative, seek out new responsibilities, and work effectively as part of a collaborative team

This is a paid internship, and TTP's flat structure gives you the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility from an early stage. TTP is an employee-owned business based on our own campus in purpose-built, sustainable offices and labs, located 10 miles south of Cambridge.
