Join TTP’s onsite IT team and help deliver secure, reliable and modern IT services for 350+ scientists, engineers and designers. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of IT support, where you’ll take ownership of issues from first contact through to resolution, while also contributing to improvements and small projects across our core platforms. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, helping colleagues, and making technology work well in practice. You will thrive on variety and will be instrumental across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support, balancing day‑to‑day ticket ownership with opportunities to improve systems, automate repeatable tasks, and support wider IT initiatives.

Role Profile

  • Handle our IT support tickets from initial triage through to resolution, ensuring a high‑quality experience for colleagues.
  • Provide support across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line issues, escalating where appropriate and retaining accountability for progress and communication.
  • Support and improve end‑user computing, identity, networking and collaboration platforms.
  • Help administer and modernise our Microsoft environment, including Azure, SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
  • Contribute to small technical projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Support the use of productivity tools, business applications and workflows across the company.
  • Encourage use of collaboration tools, including local and remote AV systems.
  • Champion secure‑by‑default ways of working and contribute to improving our cybersecurity posture.
  • Explore opportunities to automate repeatable tasks using scripting and tooling.
  • Help colleagues adopt new tools, including AI‑enabled technologies, in a safe and effective way.

Qualifications About You

We’re looking for someone with developed technical foundations, a strong sense of ownership, and a service mindset.

Your Background

  • Experience supporting users in a professional IT environment, with confidence handling a broad range of end‑user and infrastructure issues.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Windows 11.
  • Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, SSO, and practical exposure to firewalls and VPNs.
  • Efficient and proactive – managing and progressing tickets effectively, keeping users informed and following issues through to completion.
  • Scripting or automation skills, such as PowerShell or Python, and an interest in improving how support is delivered.
  • Exposure to Azure or a comparable cloud platform, with an interest in cloud migration and modernisation.
  • A proactive approach to security, including MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection/EDR, logging, monitoring and incident response.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, particularly AI in the enterprise, balanced with a practical approach to risk and compliance.
  • A friendly, supportive and approachable style, with clear communication and a willingness to help others.
