Satellite communications is evolving rapidly.
Advances in Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), software-defined payloads, smart antennas and increasingly capable user terminals are transforming how people and devices connect around the world.

We're looking for an experienced, collaborative Global Business Development Lead to join our Satellite and Space team.
This is a highly entrepreneurial role - you’ll own the commercial responsibility for developing strategic global relationships, both new and existing, with a broad range of clients in the satellite, space and communications arena.
Working alongside world-class engineers and scientists, you’ll identify, develop and maintain valuable commercial partnerships and build a long-term sales pipeline based on deep customer relationships.
The team has grown substantially in recent years, creating innovative, commercially valuable wireless communications technology for ambitious customers.
We have a strong track heritage in integrated terminal development for challenging applications such as low SWa P-C satellite communications, 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and broadband for aircraft.
We also have a strong track record in satellite payload development and smart antennas.

What You'll Do
- Develop and manage an opportunity pipeline of development and technical strategy related projects through actively seeking out, developing and maintaining a valuable network of trusted clients through in-person and on-line interactions.
- Develop and execute business development campaigns in collaboration with the TTP Marketing Team to build new relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Continuously refine how we position and communicate our capabilities, adapting our messaging and value proposition as markets, technologies and client priorities evolve.
- Build a deep understanding of prospective clients’ needs to develop our strategy in supporting prosecution of individual opportunities.
- Collaborate with the broader Satellite & Space team to develop and deliver high-quality proposals and close deals, including negotiation of win-win contracts.
- Inform the team's strategy and shape our business development activities by maintaining a deep understanding of our capabilities, the competitive landscape, and market trends.
- Represent TTP externally by building both the TTP brand and your own trusted professional profile through industry engagement, networking and thought leadership.
Qualifications
We're looking for an experienced business developer who is intellectually curious, collaborative and always eager to explore new perspectives.
You're a strategically focused BD-oriented consultant who can adapt quickly and has an agile commercial mindset.
- A 1st or 2:1 Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline
- Track record of winning technical programmes in telecommunications and/or space, with evidence of opening new markets, developing new client relationships and creating opportunities through evolving market and client positioning.
- An entrepreneurial approach to identifying unmet client needs and translating technical capability into commercial success.
- Strong awareness of current/ongoing industry trends in satellite and terrestrial telecommunications.
- Experience identifying and evaluating commercial opportunities; shaping commercial deal points and technical proposals with customers; collaborating with, and influencing others to achieve a goal.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and prospective customers.
- A strong understanding of research and development and the commercialisation of technologies and products.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex and/or services sales
- Demonstrable ability to build and nurture industry networks and establishing strong, long-term relationships.
- The ability to travel within Europe and internationally, 20% - 50% of the time.
