Job Summary: The post holder will deliver high-quality pulmonary rehabilitation and outpatient respiratory physiotherapy services across the WHSCT, focusing on patients with complex or chronic respiratory conditions. The role involves comprehensive assessment, clinical reasoning, and delivery of tailored rehabilitation programmes aimed at improving patient outcomes and promoting self-management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a designated caseload of respiratory patients, working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Perform advanced physiotherapy assessments and interventions, and develop personalized treatment and discharge plans.
- Support and educate patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals in respiratory care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with legal and departmental standards.
- Contribute to service development, quality assurance, audit, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Supervise and support junior staff and students during clinical placements.
- Deliver services flexibly, including evenings and across different sites as required.
- Adhere to all WHSCT policies, including those related to infection prevention, health and safety, equality, and governance.
Essential Criteria:
- BSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
- Minimum 18 months post-registration experience, including at least 6 months in respiratory care.
- Proven clinical skills across respiratory, MSK, and neurology specialties.
- Evidence of CPD in respiratory care.
- Full UK driving license and access to a car (unless exempt under disability legislation).
Desirable:
- Experience or training in Pulmonary Rehabilitation delivery.
