Vax, part of the global TTI Group, is hiring two Senior Design Engineers in Droitwich, Worcestershire, four days a week on site, with real ownership as the team reforms.
Scope of the Role
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will take ideas from a blank sheet through prototype and into production, working closely with industrial design, mechanical, electronics and NPD.
Generate original engineering concepts for new floor care and home cleaning products.
Build and test prototypes, then feed what you learn back into the next iteration.
Produce robust CAD designs, CREO preferred, though strong 3D ability matters more than the software badge.
Support the handover into NPD, so your concepts actually reach production.
Engage suppliers on future technology, not just the parts you need today.
Key Skills and Experience
Required A degree (BEng or MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering.
Extensive experience as a Senior Design Engineer, Senior Product Design Engineer or Advanced Development Engineer in consumer product development.
Strong CAD and engineering fundamentals, CREO preferred, any mainstream 3D package considered.
A proven track record of taking concepts from sketch to prototype, then prototype through to production.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where you set your own direction.
