Excellent opportunity for Gardening & Maintenance staff to support our Home Care clients in Eastern and Southern Suburbs. Accent Home Care is a division of Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged (TTHA) who have been supporting older people for over 50 years. Please be aware that this position requires you to have your own equipment - this needs to be shown in your resume.
Responsibilities:- Mow lawns and trim edges
- Hedge and prune shrubs
- Weed gardens and remove debris
- Maintain garden to prevent risks for older people
- General home maintenance tasks
- Experience in gardening and lawn care
- Ability to use lawnmowers, trimmers, and basic gardening tools
- Reliable, punctual, and can perform tasks as a general labourer
- Extremely well organised and ability to respond to the changing needs of older people
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ensure the clients confidentiality and privacy is maintained
- Ensure that a safe work environment is always maintained for you and others that are in the areas you are working in
- Attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work

To be considered for this role, it is desired, but not essential, you have the following experience, skills, knowledge and qualifications:
- Formal qualification/paid or volunteered experience in gardening and home maintenance
You’ll also need:
- Current VIC driver’s licence and safe driving record
- Use of own vehicle in sound condition and with comprehensive insurance
- A suitable vehicle that is safe and practical to assist you in performing the role
- Have your own equipment for the role (tool allowance will be paid)
- Current Criminal History Record check – not older than 1 year
